David HarbourMark Consuelos and recording artist Astro are joining the cast opposite of indie crime drama “A Walk Among the Tombstones,” starring Liam Neeson.
Dan Stevens (“Downton Abbey”), Ruth Wilson and Boyd Holbrook co-star.
Scott Frank is directing from his own script, based on the Matt Scudder novels written by crime novelist Lawrence Block.
Producers are Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher via their Double Feature Films, Danny DeVito through Jersey Films along with Cross Creek Pictures’ Brian Oliver and Exclusive Media’s Tobin Armbrust. Cross Creek and Exclusive Media are producing and financing under their joint co-production deal, announced last year at Cannes.
Tyler Thompson of Cross Creek and Kerry Orent are exec producing. Universal will distribute the movie in North America via its output deal with Cross Creek.

Neeson portrays an ex-NYPD cop and recovering alcoholic dealing with a series of kidnappings targeting the wives of drug dealers, which escalates to a grisly murder. Stevens portrays a heroin dealer and Astro plays  a  homeless 17-year-old artist.

“A Walk Among the Tombstones” will be shot in New York.

It’s the first project from the three-year Cross Creek-Exclusive  deal to co-finance, co-produce and co-develop at least two features per year with budgets up to $65 million. The companies announced crime thriller “Dark Places” with Charlize Theron at Berlin.
