Jeremy Irvine, Minka Kelly and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are toplining indie thriller “The World Made Straight” with David Burris directing.

Burris, an exec producer on several seasons of “Survivor,” and Dreambridge Films’ Todd J. Labarowski will produce. Brad and Melissa Coolidge will exec produce with Myriad Picture’s Kirk D’Amico.

Myriad Pictures has acquired foreign sales rights and is pre-selling the film at Berlin. Lensing is planned for later this year.

The project is based on the 2006 novel by Ron Rash, set in a rural Appalachian community haunted by the legacy of a Civil War massacre. The film follows a rebellious young man as he struggles to escape violence that ties him to the past.

Shane Danielsen (“Errors of the Human Body”) has adapted the script.

Labarowski and Myriad teamed on the two-film project “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby,” starring Jessica Chastain and James McAvoy.
