Former EMI chairman and CEO Eric Luciano Nicoli is bowing an indie financing shingle with consumer marketing pro William Lewis, creative director John Stanley and financial services vet Dean Goldberg.
U.K.-based Wentworth Media and Arts plans to finance film, TV and various digital media projects. The company is backed by $35 million from U.K.-based private equity sources and unnamed high net-worth individuals.
It will produce three to four films and acquire film rights for distribution.
Stanley, a former manager of musicians including Nigel Kennedy, is writing one of the Wentworth’s first projects, a six-part, music-focused dramatized documentary titled “The Time of Our Lives.”
The venture also announced it would work with a new sales company set up by “Gods and Monsters” producer Beau Rogers.
