LES ARCS, France — Lars von Trier’s highly-anticipated “Nymphomaniac” has been acquired by Italy’s Good Films.

The TrustNordisk-repped “Nymphomaniac” has now pre-sold nearly worldwide. Italy was the last major European territory still open. “Nymphomaniac” will be released by Zentropa in two parts in Denmark on Dec. 25. Magnolia will distribute it in the U.S.

“We have experienced enormous interest in this film from the Italian audience. The film will be an event in Italy and we are extremely excited and honored to distribute ‘Nymphomaniac,’ the latest work of one of the world’s most influential directors,” says Francesco Melzi d’Eril, CEO of Good Films.

Deal was negotiated between TrustNordisk’s sales manager, Nicolai Korsgaard, and Good Films’ head of acquisition Andrea Cirla.

The English-language feature toplines an international cast including Charlotte Gainsbourg, Stellan Skarsgard, Stacy Martin, Shia LaBeouf, Christian Slater, Jamie Bell, Uma Thurman and Willem Dafoe.

Zentropa  produced the film with France’s Slot Machine and Belgium’s Caviar.
