We’ll ignore the fact that “Psycho” didn’t even win any Oscars … 

I’m honestly not sure that it’s worth posting these promos at The Vote. I don’t think ads are particularly indicative of how good – or bad – a kudocast will be. In fact, part of me wonders if the mundane quality of some of these promos is a subversive way to manage expectations. 

On the other hand, it’s interesting that there seems to be a running theme in this year’s promotion of MacFarlane hosting the Oscars that he doesn’t intend to take them that seriously. That’s a double-edged sword, and one that’s great if you can pull it off with the right tone, not so great otherwise.
