European Film Promotion Sets Screenings of Foreign-Lingo Titles

Program lineup targets Oscar voters

Helping to get European films in front of Academy voters as early as possible, European Film Promotion is once again screening foreign-language films eligible for the Oscar, with 14 titles set to unspool between Nov. 6-14.

Among the titles are Drasko Durovic’s “Ace of Spades — Bad Destiny,” Montenegro’s first Oscar submission as an independent country, pictured above.

All screenings will be held at the Wilshire Screening Room in Beverly Hills. A record number of 74 countries have submitted films for consideration in the foreign language film category for the 86th Academy Awards.

The titles screening:

“Of Horses and Men,” by Benedikt Erlingsson (Iceland)

“Ace of Spades — Bad Destiny,” by Drasko Durovic (Montenegro)

“Borgman,” by Alex van Warmerdam (Netherlands)

“I Am Yours,” by Iram Haq (Norway)

“My Dog Killer,” by Mira Fornay (Slovak Republic)

“Class Enemy,” by Rok Bicek (Slovenia)

“15 Years and One Day,” by Gracia Querejeta (Spain)

“Eat Sleep Die,” by Gabriela Pichler (Sweden)
