Fox Records ‘Slow Video’ in South Korea

'Hello Ghost' team reunites for third time

HONG KONG – Production is under way on “Slow Video,” the second film to be made by the local production unit of Hollywood studio Fox in South Korea.

Lensing began Oct. 23 on the light comedy about a man who sees everything in slow motion.

The picture is directed by Kim Young-tak and stars Cha Tae-hyun, the pairing that previously delivered hit comedy “Hello Ghost” in 2010 for distributor Next Entertainment World and before that made “BA.BO.” Other cast includes Nam Sang-mi, Oh Dal-su, Jin Gyeong and Go Chang-seok.

Production is expected to wrap by the end of this year with delivery in mid-2014. Fox Korea will handle local distribution.

The film is the second Korean feature to be backed by Fox Intl. Prods., following “Running Man,” an action thriller from last year that delivered an OK 1.4 million spectators.

Fox also previously boarded “The Yellow Sea,” a spectacular actioner by “The Chaser” director Na Hong-jin.

Fox Intl. Prods. is an active producer of local movies in Europe, Latin America and Asia.

Within Asia it has produced or financed titles including China’s “Love in Space,” Japan’s “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods” and in India it is on board “Bombay Velvet,” the biggest budget film yet made by writer-director-producer Anurag Kashyap.
