Lindsay Gardner Joins IZEA

Media Exec Joins Strategy Advisory Board

Veteran media exec Lindsay Gardner has joined social media marketing firm IZEA as part of their strategy advisory board.

“I have always had a passion for disruptive media technology, and executives who break the mold capture my attention,” said Gardner in a statement announcing the appointment. “I am eager to lend a hand and participate in IZEA’s growth.”

Gardner still serves as a Senior Advisor for Oaktree Capital Management, where he provides strategic support for companies including Miramax, Tribune Broadcasting, AMC Network and multiple NBA teams. Gardner is also the co-owner of the Memphis Grizzlies.

In Gardner’s 25 years of strengthening companies’ media brands, he also co-founded several companies including Porto Media, the China-based Reach Media and Channel Islands.

Up until mid-2007 he was President of Affiliate Sales and Marketing for Fox Networks, helping launch multiple networks with three of them acquiring 20 million subscribers in their first year.

“He brings an extensive knowledge base, network of relationships and partnership expertise to the IZEA team. Lindsay will help us better reach our industry’s decision-makers,” said Ted Murphy, Founder/CEO of IZEA.
