James Franco Hints at New TV Show on Twitter

'I guess you'll find out Wednesday,' actor writes

James Franco is all mystery and little information on his Twitter account, as he teases of a new TV series via bizarre Instagram art and cryptic tweets.

“They don’t want me to say the channel yet, don’t know why,” he tweeted Aug. 19. “But I guess you’ll find out Wednesday.”

The actor, director and writer also linked an Instagram photo with the tweet of his face superimposed on the Mona Lisa, with “New TV series about art duuuh” scribbled across it. It’s unclear who the “they” he’s referring to in the tweet is. He followed up the next day.

“New show, with me, and a bunch of crazy stuff. Announcement tomorrow,” Franco tweeted Aug. 20, then linking to another Instagram photo. That one had his face superimposed onto Van Gogh this time, with “New T.V. show: James Franco presents” scribbled on it.

Franco has been more focused on movies in past years, with recent big film projects including “This is the End,” “Oz the Great and Powerful” and “Spring Breakers.” However, he’s plenty familiar with television, having starred in cult favorite “Freak and Geeks” and soap “General Hospital” in the past.
