"Bates Motel" (iTunes.com): Exclusively for iPhones and iPads, this manga-style digital graphic novel starts up where the A&E show’s storyline leaves off, creating a deeper, additive experience for fans.

"Injustice: Gods Among Us" (WB Games; NetherRealm): DC Comics gets its own version of "Mortal Kombat," with the company’s iconic superheroes and villains duking it out in this fantastically detailed fighter that grows increasingly addictive with every level.

"Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon" (Nintendo): A sequel to 2001’s GameCube edition, the new version for the Nintendo 3DS arms Luigi with the ghost-sucking Poltergust 5000 as he explores haunted mansions for Professor E. Gadd and battles King Boo.

Cinecore: Film production comes out of the dark ages and into the paperless era with this software and app system that coordinates scripts, schedules, call sheets, sides and crew announcements into a virtual production office accessible from iPhones, Macs and PCs. The crew should also appreciate seeing the day’s catering menu posted online.
