Microsoft is raiding the ranks of the TV industry for talent once again, luring an AMC executive to a post overseeing unscripted programming at Xbox Entertainment Studios, according to sources.

Ari Mark, director of development for unscripted original programming at the cabler, is leaving to join the new programming unit overseen by former CBS TV topper Nancy Tellem.

Mark was instrumental in the development of AMC’s slate of unscripted series including “The Pitch” and “Talking Dead.” He has previously worked at Embassy Row and Sundance Channel.

At Xbox, Mark will have a hand in growing an original slate that already boasts a pair of projects that skew close to the videogame console’s core male demo involving soccer and skateboarding.

Mark isn’t the first TV exec to crossover to Microsoft from traditional nets. One of Tellem’s very first hires was former NBC programming exec Jada Miranda, who serves as svp creative.

Microsoft and AMC declined comment.
