Comcast Ups 3 Execs, Hires DirecTV Senior VP

Comcast announced a trio of executive promotions — including elevating Marcien Jenckes to head the cable divison’s new consumer services group — and hired DirecTV business analytics exec Ed Brassel.

Jenckes, as exec VP of consumer services, will oversee all of Comcast Cable’s consumer business units: video, Internet, phone and home. Previously GM of video services, Jenckes reports to Dave Watson, EVP and chief operating officer of Comcast Cable.

Brassel is joining Comcast Cable in a new role as senior VP of business intelligence, after handling similar duties at DirecTV. Reporting to Comcast Cable CEO Neil Smit, he has also held various marketing and analytics roles with Brierly+Partners, Omnicom, H.J. Heinz Company and R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co.

In addition, Comcast promoted two corporate-level execs: Lynn Charytan is now senior VP of legal regulatory affairs and senior deputy general counsel, and Jennifer Khoury becomes senior VP of corporate and digital communications.
