Elizabeth Tumulty has been promoted to President, Affiliate Relations for the CBS Television Network, CBS Corporation prexy and CEO Leslie Moonves announced today.

In her new role, Tumulty — who joined the company in June as Executive Vice President, Affiliate Relations — succeeds Diana Wilkin, who has held the position since 2008.  Tumulty will oversee strategic planning, business affairs, affiliation agreements, and all operations of the department. She will report to Moonves.

“After a terrific tenure with the CW, Elizabeth has proven herself a formidable asset to the CBS Television Network and our affiliate body,” Moonves said in a statement. “She is a great negotiator who possesses a keen knowledge of the network-affiliate model, and I am confident she will be a terrific steward for the long-standing relationships we’ve had with one of our most important constituencies – the stations that broadcast our programming.”

Before joining CBS, Tumulty served as Executive Vice President, Network Distribution for The CW Network. She was the network’s first head of Distribution and Affiliate Relations when it launched in September 2006.
