AFM: Chinese Market Presence At Record Level

China-U.S. events in LA timed to coincide with attendance

HONG KONG — Mainland Chinese executives are expected to take part in record numbers at next week’s American Film Market in Santa Monica.

Market organizers said today that they expect to welcome more than 100 distributors and producers hailing from more than 50 Chinese companies.

Companies attending include Beijing Asian Union Culture & Media, Beijing Ciwen Film Distribution, Beijing Galloping Horse Film, Bona Film Group, Dadi Century, ERG Film Corp., HGC Entertainment, Huaxia Film Distribution, Huayi Brothers Media, Leomus Culture & Media, SMG Pictures and Universal Full Band Media, Youku and Wanda Film Production.

Other China related events taking place next week in LA also include the Motion Picture Association’s China International Co-Production Film Screenings (Nov. 4-10) and the Asia Society’s US-China Film Summit (Nov. 5).
