Exclusive Media has reached a deal with Icon U.K. Group for Exclusive to represent Icon Entertainment international library of more than 200 titles including “What Women Want,” “Project Nim,” “Mean Streets” and “Coriolanus.”
Other titles include five films from the “Fu Manchu” series released in the 1960s, which will complement and strengthen Exclusive Media’s Hammer library, the company said.
The deal will also see Exclusive Media take over the Majestic Films library with titles including “Henry V” and “Into the West.” Majestic Films was originally founded by Exclusive Media’s Guy East.
Move comes more than a year after Icon U.K. Group shuttered its U.K. distribution arm. Led by CEO Aviv Giladi, it has re-structured to focus on in-house film finance and production such as Lee Daniels’ “The Butler,” which recently finished shooting in New Orleans.
Deal was negotiated by East, Marc Schipper and Peter Naish of Exclusive Media with Giladi and Estelle Overs of Icon U.K. Group.
