We TV has renewed three of its original series with an eye toward broadening the focus of its femme-centric programming.
“Braxton Family Values” has been renewed for a third season set to debut in first quarter 2013. The reality show centered around singer Toni Braxton and her family has spawned a spin-off, “Tamar & Vince,” which received a Sept. 20 premiere date. WE has also ordered a third season of “Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best?” to bolster its first quarter lineup.
“My Fair Wedding With David Tutera” is receiving a makeover for its fifth season. Skein, now called “My Fair Wedding: Unveiled,” will delve into wedding planner David Tutera’s life in his Gotham office.
Lauren Gellert, We TV’s senior veep of original production and development, said We is angling to evolve beyond its stronghold of wedding-themed programming into “a new TV genre that showcases the dynamic relationships between women and their families.”
