Syfy adds three VPs

Trip to oversee its slate of reality series

Syfy has brought on three unscripted programming execs at the VP level to oversee its slate of reality series, including the new makeup/prosthetics competish show “Face Off.”

Robyn Lattaker-Johnson, Wayne Sampson and Colin Whelan are the NBCUniversal cabler’s new veeps, alternative programming, reporting to senior VP Tim Krubsack. Tori Socha and Andrew Whitney join the net as directors of alternative programming.

Lattaker-Johnson, Sampson and Whelan will be in charge of Syfy series including “Ghost Hunters,” “Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files,” “Haunted Collector,” “Paranormal Witness,” “Hollywood Treasure,” and upcoming skeins “Monster Man,” “Dream Machines” and “Total Blackout.” The crew will also be in charge of developing new unscripted shows for the net.

The three have varied backgrounds in the same industry: Lattaker-Johnson worked as an indie producer after a stint at BET; Sampson comes to the cabler from Dick Clark Prods.; and Whelan comes from TLC.
