‘SNL’ veteran joins ICM

Ayala Cohen joins talent department in Gotham office

“Saturday Night Live” alum Ayala Cohen has joined ICM Partners’ talent division in its Gotham office.

Cohen oversaw the talent department at “SNL” for 19 years, landing hosts, casting the skein and producing specials for the Peacock.

In her new role, Cohen will boost ICM Partners’ comedy representation in the television, feature film and digital realms. “Her expertise will be invaluable in bolstering our presence in comedy, from motion pictures to television to the digital space,” the ICM partners said in a statement.

Cohen’s hire marks one of the first moves by the percenterery after its restructuring into a partner-owned entity in May. Agency leaders have said they intend to bring on new hires to bolster the agency’s key divisions. Comedy talent and touring has long been a big focus for the agency.

Cohen begins at ICM on July 9.
