Smoove, Kodjoe added to BET’s ‘Husbands’

Kevin Hart series based on skit from cabler's 2011 awards show

BET is filling out the cast for upcoming original series “The Real Husbands of Hollywood.”

Formerly titled “House Husbands,” show skewers the “Real Housewives” franchise from a male perspective. Series combines scripted and improvised dialogue, similar to the production style of HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

Kevin Hart, Nelly and Nick Cannon star, while Robin Thicke, J.B. Smoove, Boris Kodjoe, Duane Martin and Faizon Love have recently been added.

Showrunner Ralph Farquhar will exec produce with Hart, Chris Spencer, Tim Gibbons, Dave Becky, Stan Lathan and Jesse Collins.

BET has given the series a 10-episode order.
