News Corp.-owned TV production group Shine has tapped Tim Robinson as chief operating officer.
Robinson, who is chief operating officer of Shine Australia, will relocate to London in the New Year, reporting to Shine CEO Alex Mahon.
The company, whose shows include “MasterChef,” is chaired by Elisabeth Murdoch.
Robinson assumes responsibility for business development, and operational and commercial aspects of Shine, which runs 29 companies across 12 countries, including Shine America.
He originally joined Shine Group in 2008 as business development director, and was previously Shine’s commercial director, Europe, and has been deputy CEO of Shine’s Metronome Group.
Robinson moved to Shine Australia, initially as commercial director in 2010, before being promoted to COO in July 2012.
Meanwhile, Chris Fry, Shine’s head of finance, operational investment and corporate development, will join Shine Australia as head of business and finance strategy for the region, relocating to Oz next year.
