A&E, FX, VH1, TBS and TCM have been named finalists for art direction and design in the general entertainment promo category of the 2012 PromaxBDA promotion, marketing and design awards.

Jay Mohr will host the ceremony, which takes place at the conclusion of the June 12-14 PromaxBDA conference in Los Angeles.

FX dominated the print poster category, taking five of the six nominations (for “Archer,” “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” “Louie,” “Rescue Me” and “Wilfred”). Sundance Channel took the remaining slot.

Similarly, Showtime took four of six spots for in-house promotional program spot, with MTV and the Hub filling out the category.
