NBC’s ‘Primetime Preview’ gets wide distribution

Matthew Perry hosts special that focuses on fall lineup

Hoping to drum up support for its fall shows, NBC’s “Primetime Preview Show” is making a wide berth across all NBCUniversal platforms.

Peacock will send the half-hour special to all affiliates, the conglom’s cable networks and its digital partners. Program is estimated to be shown more than 500 times, not including the thousands of viewings on American Airlines — the net’s in-flight partner.

“Preview Show,” which will air Saturday through Sept. 30, won’t be officially scheduled by the network during primetime, however. Affils and cablers will have the option of running the program whenever they see fit.

Matthew Perry will host and introduce clips to the Peacock’s fall lineup, which includes new comedies “The New Normal,” “Go On,” “Guys With Kids” and “Animal Practice.” On the drama side, NBC is set to launch freshman skeins “Revolution” and “Chicago Fire.”

Net already previewed full episodes of “Go On” and “Animal Practice” during the London Olympics, and offered clips of “The New Normal.”
