ABC has ordered a full season of the new drama series “Nashville.”

The network also picked up three scripts each for comedies “Last Man Standing” and “Malibu Country.”

The order for the country music saga, which stars Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere, was no surprise considering it’s the Alphabet’s top new show, averaging a 2.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 8.7 million viewers overall in its Wednesday 10 p.m. timeslot. Among all rookie dramas, it is second only to NBC’s “Revolution” in ratings gains via DVR.

“Nashville” marks the third back-nine order ABC has made this season, having already asked for a full season of comedy “Neighbors” and returning drama “Scandal.”

From ABC Studios, Lionsgate and Gaylord Entertainment, “Nashville” is exec produced by Callie Khouri, R.J. Cutler, Dee Johnson and Steve Buchanan.
