David Morrissey has been added to the cast for the third season of “The Walking Dead.”
Thesp will play the Governor, a character from the Robert Kirkman graphic novel in which the net’s top-rated show is based. The Governor is the leader of Woodbury, a small settlement of survivors, and becomes the chief antagonist for Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his group. Morrissey, a U.K. native, has appeared in many television programs back in Britain in a career that dates back to the early 1980s.
