LONDON — Miramax has inked a pic licensing agreement with Blighty’s multichannel broadcaster UKTV for its basic pay and DTT channels.

UKTV, an independent joint venture between BBC Worldwide and Scripps Networks Intl., consists of 10 channels, including Watch, Gold, Dave and Yesterday, attracting around 39 million viewers a month.

Additionally, Miramax has expanded its international sales arm, upping Mathilde Rottier to VP of worldwide TV, based in Santa Monica. Stuart Shaw, Astrid De Berardinis and Alexandra Tullberg have been appointed sales directors, based in London.

Shaw previously worked at Paramount Home Entertainment and Universal Pictures; De Berardinis previously worked at CBS Studios in Rome; and Tullberg previously worked at Paramount Pictures and Fox Kids Europe.

All positions are effective immediately.
