‘Lost’ actor Alan Dale joins ABC’s ‘Beast’

Thesp to play Emperor Dorian in 'Beauty' pilot

EXCLUSIVE: ”Lost” vet Alan Dale has been cast in the ABC pilot ”Beauty and the Beast.”

Dale will play Emperor Dorian in the hourlong drama. Project is a reimagining of the classic tale, where an embattled princess discovers an unlikely connection with a beast.

Also recently cast is Wendy Crewson as Mara and Karen LeBlanc as Ehren. Others already on board are F. Murray Abraham and Chris Egan.

Show comes from writer Jon Steinberg, who exec produces with Gary Fleder and Mary Beth Basile. Yves Simoneau will direct the pilot.

On the TV side, Dale recenty appeared on ”Once Upon a Time,” ”House of Lies” and ”Person of Interest.”
