Gotham-based reality shingle Leftfield Pictures is expanding to the west coast and tapping Rob Hill to serve as veep of development out of the newly-established Los Angeles office.

“Leftfield Pictures has experienced enormous growth during the last few years,” said the shingle’s founder Brent Montgomery. Leftfield has seen notable success with long-running cable franchise “Pawn Stars.” “While we may be best known for shows in the ‘hidden treasures’ genre we helped elevate with ‘Pawn Stars,’ Leftfield has also been expanding into other areas of programming. We felt the time was right to establish a permanent presence in Los Angeles, allowing acecss to new and different types of talent on both sides of the camera.”

Hill joins the unscripted company from Pilgrim Studios where he was veep of development. Before that, he served as head of development at UK-based shingle Optomen and Renegade Pictures. Hill has worked on programs including “Fast N’ Loud,” “Gordan Ramsay Shark Bait,” “Popstar to Opera Star” and “Mary Portas Secret Shopper.”
