The sixth season of “Jersey Shore” will begin Oct. 4. Ratings have been falling for the teen cabler’s reality franchise, but still fares better than most nonscripted fare on competiting nets.
“Snooki & JWoww” and other “Jersey Shore” spinoff “The Pauly D Project” didn’t fare well in their respective first seasons, but the net feels “Snooki” was worth another try. No decision has been made about “The Pauly D Project.”
MTV has also ordered a second season of “Money From Strangers.” As for its upcoming new series, scripted comedy “Underemployed” — from “Dirty Sexy Money” creator Craig Wright — will debut at 10 p.m. Oct. 16. Show, about a handful of twentysomethings whose career plans go adrift, co-stars Michelle Ang and Sarah Habel.
As for “Catfish,” which was based on feature film about a person’s odyssey to connect with a woman he was talking to online, the series will premiere at 10 p.m. Nov 12, to be paired with the new season of “World of Jenks.”
