FX renews ‘Justified’

Skein returns to cabler for fourth season

FX is bringing back Kentucky-set “Justified” for a fourth season.

Cabler has ordered 13 additional episodes for the series from FX Prods. and Sony Pictures Television. Show is based on the short story “Fire in the Hole,” as well as novels, from author Elmore Leonard.

The current third season, in which six episodes are left to air, is averaging 4.3 million total viewers and 2.1 million in the 18-49 demo for firstrun episodes, marking an 8% increase in both categories from a year ago. When weekly multiruns of the show are cumed, the series is drawing 7 million viewers.

” ‘Justified’ is one of television’s best series, and this season has reinforced that excellence,” said Nick Grad, FX exec veep of original programming. “We look forward to many more seasons to come.”

Among its ensemble cast, skein stars Timothy Olyphant, Walton Goggins, Nick Searcy and Natalie Zea. Neal McDonough and Mykelti Williamson are making seasonlong guest appearances.

Showrunner Graham Yost exec produces with Leonard, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, Michael Dinner and Fred Golan.
