Farley joins OWN’s ‘Rosie Show’

New exec producer arrives from 'Rachael Ray'

Shane Farley is joining OWN’s “The Rosie Show” as an exec producer.

A former producer on Rosie Donnell’s self-titled Warner Bros.-syndicated talkshow, Farley’s most recent assignment was with “Rachael Ray,” where he worked for three years and rose to co-exec producer. He will replace Page Hurwitz, who had been with “The Rosie Show” since its launch.

Other stops for Farley include “The Wayne Brady Show,” “The Tony Danza Show” and “Isaac” on NBCUniversal cabler Style.

“Having worked with Shane for a number of years, I knew he’d be a great addition to the team as we continue to develop the vision for the show,” said O’Donnell.

Ratings for “The Rosie Show” have not risen to what OWN was expecting when they brought O’Donnell on board. After premiering to 321,000 viewers in October, the show is now averaging 204,000. That’s a small number but an 18% improvement from January 2011, just as OWN made its rocky debut.

The set for “The Rosie Show,” shot at Harpo Studios in Chicago, recently underwent a face lift as the net hopes that a physical change in scenery may result in a ratings boost.
