Evolution Media has upped two execs in its development team.

Alex Baskin, previously VP of development and new media, has been promoted to exec VP of programming and development. David Shaye, formerly director of development, has been upped to VP of development.

Baskin has spent more than six years at the shingle that focuses on nonfiction programming. He developed and exec produced skeins including Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” ABC Family’s “Beverly Hills Nannies” and Lifetime’s upcoming series “Prom Queens.” Shaye, a co-exec producer on “Nannies,” served as a talent and series development exec at MTV before joining Evolution.

Promotions within development come as Evolution currently ramps up projects for nets including TNT, A&E, E! and truTV.

Since 1987, Evolution has produced more than 40 series including the first seasons of “Big Brother” and “Fear Factor.” “Beverly Hills Nannies” bowed in mid-July and landed ABC Family its highest-rated reality launch numbers ever. Company’s latest series “Code 9,” a hidden-camera prank show, bowed Thursday on Disney Channel.
