Comedy Central is tooning up its programming lineup by giving a series order to “Triptank.”
Cabler has picked up “Triptank” for eight episodes, and the show will premiere next fall.
Skein, which is a collection of animated shorts from a wide range of creators, will be exec produced by Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico. Those involved in the pilot include Larry David, Bob Odenkirk, Zach Galafianakis, Kumail Nanjiani, Brett Gelman and Kyle Kinane.
“When we did the pilot, they assured me it would be literally animated…and it was,” said Kent Alterman, the net’s head of original programming and production. “We will do the same for the series.”
