Jennifer Love Hewitt will be back under the sheets for a new season of “The Client List.”
Lifetime has renewed the Sony Pictures Television-produced freshman drama for a 15-episode second season. Move was widely expected considering the scripted series is a hit for the femme-skewing cabler.
Show stars Love Hewitt as a single Texas mom who has a secret life working at a day spa that is a cover for a prostitution ring. Cybill Shepherd, Loretta Devine and Colin Egglesfield also star.
The series launched on April 8 to 2.8 million viewers, making it the most-watched series debut on Lifetime since “Drop Dead Diva” in 2009.
Hewitt exec produces with Dannielle Thomas, Howard Braunstein, Jordan Budde, Efrem Seeger and John Tinker.
Said Lifetime topper Nancy Dubuc: “‘The Client List’ represents everything we want to be — fresh, exciting and original with attitude.”
“The Client List” was originally a TV movie, which acted as a backdoor pilot, for Lifetime in July 2010.
