Insiders: Exec shuffles

Amy Carney has been promoted to prexy of advertiser sales, strategy and research for Sony Pictures TV, reporting to Sony TV topper Steve Mosko. Carney joined Sony in 2003 from Univision Online.

Oswald Mendez has joined Fox’s Spanish-lingo broadcast net MundoFox as exec VP and chief marketing officer. Mendez segues from his post as senior veep of lifestyle entertainment at Fox Intl. Channels, which oversees MundoFox.

Doug Brandt has joined showbiz ad firm Ant Farm as CEO and creative director. He was previously creative director and senior editor of Industry Creative.

NBCUniversal has upped Catherine Balsam-Schwaber to senior veep in its Integrated Media group. She joined NBCU in 2009 from MTV Networks, where she was veep of integrated marketing.

Sophia Kelley has been promoted to senior VP of programming for GMC TV. She came to the indie cabler in 2010 from Turner Broadcasting.

Debbie Back has been named senior veep of North American sales for Sonar Entertainment. She joins the TV distrib from National Geographic Kids Entertainment, where she was veep and head of worldwide sales.
