Insiders: Exec shuffles

Sandra Dewey has been promoted to exec veep and head of business affairs for Turner Entertainment Networks and Cartoon Network Originals. Based in Los Angeles, Dewey has been with Turner and Warner Bros. since 1993.

Nickelodeon has upped Rich Magallanes to senior veep animation, current series. He’s been with the cabler since 1997.

Oxygen Media has promoted Jordana Hochman to veep of production. She’ll serve as an exec producer on some series and be the point person for Oxygen’s outside producers.

Monica Bloom has been appointed senior VP of marketing at Sundance Channel. Bloom comes from the nonprofit AIDS org (RED), where she served as head of brand strategy and development.

Julie Sweetwood has joined Bemis Balkind’s TV group as VP of business development. Sweetwood previously held the same role at creative services firm Hurrah.

Angel Annussek has advanced to VP of original programming at TruTV. Annussek joined the Turner Broadcasting cabler in 2004.

Travel Channel has tapped Amelie Tseng head its communications department as VP and also hired Rick Gomes as director of communications. Tseng had her own media relations consultancy. Gomes comes from Schenker Associates.

Mark Loomis has joined MLB Network as senior veep of production. Loomis has logged stints at ESPN, NFL Network and ABC Sports.
