Insiders: Exec shuffles

MGM has promoted Scott Packman to senior exec veep, general counsel and secretary. Cheryl Rodman has joined the Lion as exec veep and deputy general counsel. Packman has been with MGM since 2002 and was upped to general counsel in 2005. Rodman comes to the studio after running her own practice and having served as exec veep of business and legal affairs for Spyglass Entertainment.

Kimberly Hope has been named director of feature casting for Paramount Pictures. Hope joins the studio after working in Gotham as an indie casting director for more than 10 years.

Marc Johnson has joined Ovation as VP of digital media. He previously served as director of creative services for ABC.com.

Dean Devlin’s Electric Entertainment has promoted Rebecca Rising to chief operating officer. She’s been with the production banner since 2007.

MLB Network has tapped Chris Lee as director of sales for the Western region, based in L.A. Lee joins the Secaucus, N.J.-based cabler from Disney Channel where he was sales and marketing director for the Western region.

Melissa Calheno has been promoted to veep of production at Juma Entertainment. She’s been with the company for the past six years, serving as exec in charge of production for CMT’s “The Singing Bee” and Bravo’s “Double Exposure,” among other shows.

Todd Sokolove has been named veep of marketing for Sonar Entertainment. He had been with Sonar’s predecessor company, RHI Entertainment.
