‘Transformers’ ignites Comic-Con parties

'Twilight,' Hitfix fetes start weekend on high note

And we’re off!

Playtime at San Diego Comic-Con kicked off on Wednesday night just following preview night. After attendees scrambled the convention floor to get a first look at the year’s big offerings, there was a platoon of parties in which to choose from.

Guest looking for an early start headed over to High Noon, Activision and Hasbro’s sneak peek at the vidgame “Transformers: Fall of Cyberton” at Stingaree. With plasma TVs as far as the eye can see, gamers plugged in while DJs played heavy metal hits from the ’80s.

Over on the pool deck of the Hotel Solamar, HitFix welcomed attendees and bizzers with its third annual Comic-Con Kick-Off Party. The bash was easy to find as the HitFix logo shined over the city, much like the Bat Signal.

And finally, Summit Entertainment and Fandango take a bite out of the San Diego night life with their “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2” bash at Float in the Hard Rock Hotel. Guest milled about the rock ‘n’ roll themed patio as clips from the upcoming tentpole played in infinite loop. Guests for the bash included head of the Nerd Herd Zachary Levi , “Breaking Dawn” stars Guri Weinberg , Angela Sarafyan , Noel Fisher and Elizabeth Reaser .
