“Beasts of the Southern Wild,” “Django Unchained,” “Flight,” “Red Tails” and “Tyler Perry’s Good Deeds” were nominated for feature film honors at the 2013 NAACP Image Awards.

“Beasts” and “Django” led the movie world with four nominations apiece.

In the lead actor category for film, nominees were Jamie Foxx of “Django,” Morgan Freeman of “The Magic of Belle Isle,” Tyler Perry of “Alex Cross,” Suraj Sharma of “Life of Pi” and Denzel Washington of “Flight.”

Lead actress noms went to Emayatzy Corinealdi (“Middle of Nowhere”), Halle Berry (“Cloud Atlas”), Loretta Devine (“In The Hive”), Quvenzhane Wallis (“Beasts”) and Viola Davis (“Won’t Back Down”).

“The Game,” “Glee,” “The Mindy Project,” “Modern Family” and “The Soul Man” received nominations for top TV comedy series from the NAACP, whose Feb. 1 kudofest will be broadcast in primetime on NBC. “Boardwalk Empire,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal,” “Treme” and “True Blood” were nominated in drama.

“Grey’s” had the most nominees in television with six, followed by “Treme” with four. Kerry Washington received a pair of acting noms, for “Django” and “Scandal.”

ABC and CBS led in the TV categories with 20 and 12 nominations respectively, followed by HBO and Lifetime with 10 and NBC with 9.
