The Lampshades keep 'Music Playing' at fundraiser

The Lampshades — Hollywood’s not so faux “fake lounge act,” featuring Kate Flannery as Kassi and Scot Robinson as Hori — enlivened Monday’s “Keep the Music Playing” fundraiser for the Education Through Music Los Angeles org at the Raymond in Pasadena. Between sets, the assembled guests chatted away, drowning out a fifth-grade school teacher’s speech.

Host and militant mom Jane Kaczmarek wasn’t having any of it. She grabbed the mic in support of the teacher to say in full baritone, “Don’t make me yell! ‘Cause you know I can!”
