Veteran promotion exec Joe Riccitelli has been promoted to exec VP-general manager at RCA Records.
Riccitelli was previously exec VP of promotion at the label. He will continue to head the company’s promo team and will now also oversee see the music licensing and brand partnership departments run by Karen Lamberton.
RCA president-COO Tom Corson, to whom Riccitelli reports, said, “Joe has done such a tremendous job leading the way to success for many of our superstar and developing artists. Now is the time to widen his portfolio within the company and contribute his leadership to our licensing and brand partnership efforts on behalf of our unparalleled artist roster.”
Riccitelli took RCA’s promo reins in 2011, working hits by Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys and Ke$ha. He was formerly at the now-shuttered Jive Records from 1999-2011, rising to exec VP of promotion. He was senior VP of promotion at the Island Label Group from 1995-99.
