Paul Rudd and Michael Shannon will topline Craig Wright’s play “Grace” in a Broadway production bowing in the fall.

Ed Asner and Kate Arrington also will star in the show, to be helmed by Dexter Bullard, the director who’s previously collaborated with Wright and Shannon on a string of productions including “Mistakes Were Made,” which played Off Broadway’s Barrow Street Theater in 2010, and “Bug,” which had a run there in 2004.

Storyline of the title, which preemed at Washington’s Woolly Mammoth Theater in 2004, centers on a young couple (played by Rudd and Arrington) who arrive in Florida hoping to start a chain of gospel motels.

Rudd was last on Broadway in the 2006 production of “Three Days of Rain,” while Asner most recently appeared on the Rialto in a 1989 revival of “Born Yesterday.” Production will be the Broadway debut for Shannon (“Boardwalk Empire”), a veteran of Off Broadway, as well as for scribe Wright (“Six Feet Under,” “Recent Tragic Events”) and helmer Bullard.

“Grace” has also been seen in earlier productions in Chicago and L.A.

Produced by Debbie Bisno, Fox Theatricals and Paula Wagner, “Grace” begins previews Sept. 14 ahead of an Oct. 4 opening at a Shubert-owned theater to be announced.
