‘Once’ upon an afterparty

Pic's star Steve Kazee took it to the skies

Hyperbole is expected on opening night, but “Once” star Steve Kazee took it to the skies on Sunday night in Gotham.

Speaking for the cast, he compared choreographer Steven Hoggett to an astrophysicist for his ability to “create something out of absolutely nothing.”

And that’s something coming from the man who said at the Gotham Hall afterparty that he thought adapting the 2006 film to the stage would be difficult.

“I saw a press release announcing (the tuner adaptation) and just thought, I’ll believe that one when I see it. And good luck to the poor bastard who has to replace Glen (Hansard).”
