New comics crack up Just for Laughs

Variety's 10 Comics to Watch event sponsored by Cohen Gardner

The cut-ups showed up en masse for Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch event sponsored by Cohen Gardner at the Just for Laughs comedy fest in Montreal on Thursday. Honorees Rob Delaney, Kurt Braunohler, Lil Rel Howery, Sarah Colonna, Jake Hurwitz, Amir Blumenfeld, Joe Mande, Rory Scovel and Moshe Kasher were feted before an industry crowd. Among the many laughmakers in attendance were Ali Wong and Pete Holmes, veterans of last year’s list.

After being stuck in a New York airport, “The Daily Show” youth correspondent Jessica Williams joined her fellow honorees in an uncensored — and occasionally unruly — panel discussion the following day.
