‘Blood Brothers’ bleeds out

London longrunner to close in October

One of London’s longest-running shows, “Blood Brothers,” is throwing in the towel, skedding an autumn closing date after 10,000 perfs.

Production, which follows the deadly reunion of twins separated at birth, opened in 1988 at the Albery Theater prior to a 1991 move to the Phoenix. It’s third in duration among West End musicals, behind “Les Miserables” (which bowed in 1985) and “Phantom of the Opera” (1986).

Produced by Bill Kenright, “Blood Brothers” will continue to tour the U.K. London staging shutters Oct. 27.
