Zodiak nabs coin for ‘Beverly Hills Pawn’

Bell Media adds funds for Asylum reality skein

CANNES — Zodiak Media’s international arm Zodiak Rights has raised pre-sale funding from Bell Media in Canada for Asylum Entertainment’s factual entertainment series “Beverly Hills Pawn.”

The 12-part, 30-minute docu series is produced by Los Angeles-based Asylum for ReelzChannel in the U.S., where it will bow later this year.

Show focuses on the Dina Collection VIP Room in L.A., run by collector Yossi Dina, who deals in jewels, Hollywood memorabilia and high-end goods pawned as a result of divorces and failed businesses.

“Beverly Hills Pawn” is the third international series to be greenlit as the result of an output deal Zodiak Rights and Asylum signed this year.

Zodiak also handles Asylum’s mediation show “Addicted,” produced for TLC, and its holiday disasters clip show “Travel Unraveled” for the Travel Channel in the U.S.
