Bradley Cooper arrived at a special screening of CBS Films’ “The Words” on Saturday in East Hampton with his childhood friends-turned-helmers Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal.

“I’ve known Brian since we were 10 years old in Philadelphia,” said Cooper who also exec produced the literary thriller in which he stars with Zoe Saldana, Jeremy Irons and Dennis Quaid. “I slept on his couch when I first got to Hollywood.”

The duo co-wrote and co-helmed the pic that screened Saturday night at multimillion-dollar estate Goose Creek.

Sternthal had kind words for Cooper too. “When Bradley shot to stardom in ‘The Hangover’ he didn’t abandon us,” he said.

Cooper plays a novelist whose marriage falters after he plagiarizes a lost manuscript.

“I relate to the rejection aspect that my character experiences as a writer. I’ve dealt with a lot of it in my acting career,” Cooper said.
