Will Wallace (“The Tree of Life”) has come aboard for indie crime drama “Magic Hour.”

“Magic Hour” centers on young man who’s taken in by a local crime family in early ’90s Venice Beach. Production has been shooting in Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and Los Angeles for the past month.

Cast includes C. Thomas Howell, Trevor Morgan, William Russ, Kris Lemche, Josh Emerson, Courtney Daniels, Elias Brett, Mark Alan and Kevin McNamara.

Busted Buggy Entertainment and Sunside Film are producing “Magic Hour,” the second feature film by writer-director Cole Mueller. It’s exec produced by Dan Cunningham for Busted Buggy, Jefferson Butler and co-produced by Bryan Chesin, Lysa Oldhams and Matt Marzulo.

Wallace, who is Terrence Malick’s stepson, appears in Malick’s upcoming untitled project opposite Ben Affleck. Credits include “I Am Sam” and “The Thin Red Line.”
