Warner Bros. has beaten out CBS Films for feature rights to Jamie McGuire’s novel “Beautiful Disaster,” and has set the project with Donald De Line.

“Disaster” centers on a college girl who doesn’t drink or swear and is trying to get beyond the darkness of her past — only to find her path quickly challenged by a man described as a “walking one-night stand.”

Lynn Harris is overseeing the project for Warners.

Warner-based De Line is a producer with Michael Bay and Ian Bryce on bodybuilder drama “Pain and Gain” for Paramount. He’s produced “Green Lantern” and “Yogi Bear” for Warners.

McGuire self-published “Beautiful Disaster” and sold over 200,000 copies with Atria recently taking over the publishing.

She’s repped by Rebecca Watson of Valerie Hoskins Associates.
