Emily Watson, Anna Friel and Lena Headey are set to star in Jon Amiel’s new dark comedy “The Poisoners” from “Entrapment” helmer Jon Amiel.
Pic, which centers around a group of women who only have German POWs for company when their husbands go off to war, will begin production at the end of the summer in Ireland and Germany.
Jeanna Polley will produce with her Producers shingle, while Film Bridge International will handle theatrical rights.
“Poisoners” cast also includes German actors Ken Duken, Hanno Koffler and Alexander Scheer.
Emily Watson co-starred in Steven Spielberg’s “War Horse” while Anna Friel recently appeared in Relativity Media’s “Limitless.”
Jeanna Polley and partner Jenny Edwards’ credits include Granada Films’ “Seeing Red” and drama serial “The Politician’s Wife.” Filmmakers are also in negotiations with Octagon Films Limited to produce.
