Warner Bros. is bolstering its 2013 release calendar.
The studio dated three new pics, setting Steve Carell-Jim Carrey laffer “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone” for March 15, and bumped “Insidious” helmer James Wan’s “The Conjuring” from Jan. 25 to July 19.
WB’s other new entries are comedy “We’re the Millers,” starring Jason Sudekis and Jennifer Aniston, dated for Aug. 9, and Hugh Jackman thriller “Prisoners” on Sept. 20.
The spring date for “Wonderstone” echoes what Sony did this year with “21 Jump Street,” which saw a stellar domestic gross near $140 million. The Warner comedy, from helmer Don Scardino, centers on rival magicians in Las Vegas.
“Millers,” meanwhile, aims to benefit from a late-summer berth. Pic tells the story of a small-time pot dealer, played by Sudekis, who is robbed by a small gang.
The “Conjuring” move puts the film in the height of summer moviegoing. Based on a true story, the scarer starring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga centers on a team of paranormal investigators who look into dark forces at a local farmhouse.
